Girard- Mr. Wayne Oshiro Fouts, 58, of Girard, IL passed away at 12:17 A.M. Monday, February 25, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Wayne was born April 6, 1960 in Tacoma, WA a son to Loren and Yoshiko (Oshiro) Fouts.  Wayne graduated from Virden High School, Class of 1978 and married Carol Sexton, August 13, 1983 in Springfield, IL.

Wayne was a member of the First Christian Church, Girard, IL where he served as a Deacon.  He loved art and he loved to sketch.  His favorite pastime was watching Star Trek and playing with his grandkids.

Surviving Wayne is his wife of 35 years, Carol (Sexton) Fouts of Girard, IL; daughter, Mandi (Adam) Hampleman of Virden, IL; son, Christopher (Susan) Fouts of Waterloo, WI; brothers, Loren, (Renate) Fouts of Virden, IL, Steven (Lisa) Fouts of Girard, IL; sisters, Deborah (Josh) Chiu of Springfield, IL, Nancy (Bill) Evans of High Ridge, MO; grandchildren, Lucas, Julian, Jared, Lilah and Kaelen and several nieces and nephews.  Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Shigeo Fouts.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the First Christian Church in Girard, IL.  Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. also at the First Christian Church, Girard, IL.  To leave a comment for the family please visit:  www.calvert-ferryfuneralhomes.com

  1. I am so sorry to hear the loss of Wayne. I worked with Wayne at Concordia Village. He always had such a great sense of humor and was always making sure we were ready to go for any of our shifts. He was such a great part of the Village family. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
