Virden – Donald J. Enrietta, 91 of Virden, IL, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born March 21, 1928 in Springfield, IL, a son of Paul and Regina (Sokach) Enrietta. He was a graduate of Virden High School Class of 1946 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a corporal. He married Bendena Osborne March 21, 1951 at Fort Leonardwood, MO. Don was a member of Sacred Heart Church Virden, IL, the Virden Rotary Club, the American Legion Post # 386 Virden, IL. and active in community affairs.

Don is survived by his wife, Bendena Enrietta of Virden, IL, a son Evan (Bobbi) Enrietta of Virden, IL, 3 step-grandchildren, Lyndasy and Josh Kenady and Kali (Nathan) Christison, 8 step-great grandchildren. Preceding in death were his parents, and a step-granddaughter Kira Kenady.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.n. Sunday June 23, 2019 at Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home Virden, IL, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday June 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church. Father James Palakudy officiating. Pallbearers:  Bruce Fairfull, Mark Peters, Thomas Brozich, Pete Jeffers, Kim Ball and Bill Ferry with Honorary Pallbearer, Scott Boyd.  Burial will be in Virden Cemetery.
